Eureka-Holly plans deeper development at Holly mine

W A Barnes of San Francisco, manager of the Eureka-Holly Mining Company, visited Eureka this week to inspect progress. Plans call for a new hoist and compressor plant and shaft deepening of 200 to 800 feet using cheaper lava. Ore tonnages have increased recently and a reduction plant is drawn, with construction expected in the spring. Nine cars of high grade ore were moved from the Holly mine to the Gehecribe for the Sentinel.

High School Notes On Attendance And Makeup Work

High school enforces rules to allow students who missed classes to make up lost work due to absences. The school was photographed twice by Mr. Eastman and a large sale of the pictures is expected.
