Rural Nevada teachers may see pay rise next year

Deputy superintendents and Superintendent Hunting discussed remedies for teacher shortages in rural Nevada. If funds are approved next year, rural teachers could earn a minimum 800 per year, with districts receiving 15 cents tax per 100 dollars and a 100 per year from relief funds. The story also notes Hamilton’s need for a railroad to lower freight costs and revive ore shipments.
