Republican Rally Opens Eureka Campaign Night
The Republicans start their Eureka political campaign with a theater show at Eureka Theater this Friday evening featuring five National and State candidates. Poor Mail Service Hits Eureka Demand For Action
For weeks Eureka's mail service has deteriorated with only partial deliveries. Last Monday three mails were due but only one arrived and newspapers were scarce. Postmaster Gates traced missing mail to being left at Palmed. Mrs Gates urged railway officials and filed a formal complaint with W H Taylor in Ogden Utah, hoping for swift results.

Sheep Case Is Tried In District Court
The Steptoe Livestock Company sued Marcus Legarra in district court for damages over alleged detention of a band of sheep at Legarra’s Pinto ranch. Judge McFadden presided, with James Dysart for the plaintiffs and Reynolds and Eather for the defense. The hearing extended all day and into an evening session, and the case was submitted for an early decision. Witness James Bogantini, Eureka resident and former Pinto Creek ranch owner, testified. He was in Ely to see probation officer Thos. B. Haley and other local residents.
