New State Engineer Given Commission
Governor Boyle on Saturday commissioned Robert A. Allen as State Engineer and ex officio member of the Public Service Commission of Nevada for the unexpired term of Colonel James G. Scrugham who resigned the office effective October 7 to devote full time to the political campaign. Allen has served three and a half years as deputy State Engineer and has conducted hearings and investigations for the office. He is a qualified engineer with University of Nevada training and served in the United States Army during World War I. He married a Carson City girl and resides in Carson with his wife and family.
