Washington May 19 The forest service offers a decalogue for windbreak owners to be shown at the October Tulsa exhibition for the eighth international dry farming congress. The commandments stress proper windward placement, investment of one eighth to one fifth of land in timber, choosing region suited species, fast and slow growing mixes, evergreen supplementation, proper spacing, dense bottom up growth, thorough young plantation cultivation, limited grazing, and conservative thinning to improve timber value. Additional exhibits will show suitable species and wind directions for regions.
