Married at Bride's Home in Eureka Ceremony

Last Saturday July 12 Miss Maud E. Porch wed James J. Bart at the bride's Eureka home with only close relatives present. The bride, a Eureka native, is a former teacher with degrees from Eureka County Normal School and Nevada University. The groom, recently discharged from the army, works as a Reno mechanic and will reside there with his wife. Also reported a Reno gambling ordinance proposing $150 quarterly license per table to fund enforcement, with city estimates of 20 to 30 gaming rooms and annual revenue of 12000 to 16000. Thomas Pickett of Reno has been nominated for United States Marshal of Nevada.

Frisco Cafe Owners Fined For Liquor Dispensing

Tonopah Coffee owners Miller and Herman were fined $100 each by Justice Grier for dispensing spirituous liquors at the Frisco Cafe under state law. Federal charges are suspended pending further investigation per the district attorney.
