Tonopah restaurant owners reversed plans to raise prices after mine operators bid for boarding houses to cut costs for workers. Meals remain 45 cents, hot cakes and coffee at two bit, with no extra charges for eggs beyond standard. A new menu was printed but not adopted as talks of a company store proceed. Separate project funds road work from Tonopah to the Goldfield road with nine miles of roadway at an estimated cost of $34,000, to be finished in about three months.

Reno Captain Kenneth J. Booth Dies of War Injuries in France
Captain Kenneth J. Booth of Reno died in a French base hospital from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident after recovering from wounds in the Argonne. A California native raised largely in Nevada, he was 36, son of W. W. Booth, editor of the Tonopah Bonanza, and former Reno Journal city editor. He was a University of Nevada graduate and a respected Army officer.
