Rich Silver Bow District prospects attract mining men
Janes Kantz reports from Silver Bow District near Tybo and Tono atop rhyolite contact veins with silver and gold occurrences potentially worth thousands. The district hosts about 50 people active in prospecting with plentiful water, large ledges in properties owned by Bert I. Smith and John Gregovich, and ore like the Silver Bow Ball yielding $2.50 per pound. Transportation limits hinder development, but a future Ely and Goldfield railroad could unlock output comparable to Nevada's top camps. Prospectors eye capital-backed properties with strong potential amid active claims and surface-rich veins.
