Ore shipments curtailed by muddy roads at Bu fia Croesus mine

Julius Huebner reports Eureka Croesus and Eureka Climax developments amid wet weather. High grade ore bodies show in the Cave on the 200 level and larger ore sizes at 400 feet while raise work advances. Shipments of high grade ore are projected at about 400 per ton, with preparations for tunneling and rail access continuing despite conditions.

Postmaster Examination Called for Eureka Nevada

At the request of the Postmaster General the United States Civil Service Commission announces an examination to be held in Eureka Nevada on February 18 1920 for the postmaster position. The office pays 1100 annually. Applicants must be US citizens residents of the delivery area aged 21 to 64 on exam date. Iipah Oil Well Shows Strong Prospect Near Ely

Ely correspondent reports excitement over oil prospecting in the Iipah Basin about 35 miles west of Ely and 7 miles from the Hamilton camp. The Uitpah Basin Oil & Gas Co. has a large drill, operates two shifts, and advances steadily with shale depth richening. Directors include MacFarland and Shaughnessy.

Rabbit Drive in Reno Draws Record Hunters

One hundred fifteen men and six women hunted rabbits last Sunday at the North ranch under the Reno Gun Club. They brought back over two thousand rabbits of various sizes and delivered more than three tons to the Salvation Army for distribution, with each hunter keeping a supply. It was the largest rabbit drive ever held in Reno.
