Palisade Burglars Now in County Jail

Beott and Vern June three young men arrested at Palisade last week for breaking into Wendell Jones and N A Whitmore stores were brought to Eureka by Constable Walter Hawkine and lodged in the county jail. Death of Elwood Bailey Remembers Early Diamond Valley Pioneers
Mrs Marietta Bailey and others in Diamond Valley were notified of Elwood Bailey's death at Balt Lake City Utah in December. An early Diamond Valley settler, he and his brother Robe r Bailey were among the first settlers locating there in 1869 before moving to Salt Lake City where he lived. He was in his 86th year and remained active until ten days before death. He leaves an adopted son a stepdaughter and two grandchildren.
