The Tonopah San reports Oregon freighter W. Rank plans to run 20 regular mule teams between Tonopah and Goldfield to ease the blockade. Each team will leave the yards daily, carrying about 18 tons. Rank expects six trips per month per team, using a five day round trip similar to current freighting times.
A New York dispatch reports 40 000 bushels of Oregon wheat at Antwerp Germany sold to New York City flour mills and to be reimported for flour production. This marks the first return of exported wheat except for corner-related needs due to a small crop and high prices.
