A New York Herald correspondent reports the Maine salvage plan by United States Battle Ship Maine Salvage Company for 5000 dollars. The wreck will be enclosed in a cofferdam and raised. if any of the 74 missing sailors are found they will be honored in the United States or Havana. Machinery and armor will be sold. Havana visitors may view the hulk for a fee. The plan includes a bottom repair and display at Cousy Island.
