Thomas D. Henry, a Fort Halleck store and saloon keeper, was robbed and beaten by a masked man on December 2. He lingered in a coma and died five days later at about age 60. Humboldt County awarded a $10,794 fire system contract for Lovelock, to be installed within 60 days. Also an advertisement touts Electric Bitters by Mrs. H. M. Woman Dies on Gallows at Windsor Prison
Mrs. Mary Mabel Rogers was hanged at Vermont State Prison Windsor on Friday December 8 after two reprieves and a Supreme Court refusal. She confessed murder of husband Marcus Rogers in Bennington August 13 1902 at age 19 and was executed with accomplices Perham and Estella Bates. Perham received life, Rogers death sentence. the body was claimed by her mother and sister and buried at Hoosie Falls New York. A Goldfield dispatch reports the decomposed body of Eugene A. Ware, a noted mining camp sportsman, found two miles south of Goldfield with a .45 revolver beside him and a bullet wound. His death, blamed on gambling losses last summer, ends a pattern of despondency and disappearance with his wife left amid strangers.
