Rich carbonate ore found at Distinction mine site
While grading a new road to the Connolly mine on Prospect Mountain a two foot seam of rich carbonate ore was uncovered on Distinction mine ground. The area is bonded to Major H. G. Catlin, and road work is accelerated to place a hoist for the Connolly shaft. No development has occurred yet on the new find, but observers say the discovery looks promising and potentially valuable. The Distinction mine is owned by Ben and John Repetto and M. P. Murphy.
