Extreme styles laid to women's rivalry in era of fashion

Washington reports Congresswoman Alice Robertson of Oklahoma comments on East Coast cigarette smoking and fashion, noting Southwest styles as more daring yet not immoral. She criticizes up-to-date skirts, roguish makeup, and short hemlines while defending women choosing smoke as their own business.
