Hereford bull tops Nevada markets at $10000 in Elko County

Giant Powder Price Cut Hits Miners and Prospects

Wartime powder costs soared to 425 a ton, then fell after armistice. Prices moved down 26 per ton postwar, later dropping 60 more, yielding an 80 cut overall since the war ended. Prewar powder sold at 210 per ton, with current price at 345 per ton remaining high.
