Rails for Western Pacific Rail Line

Sacramento Press notes from well authenticated sources that orders for 100000 tons of steel rails were placed in Belgium for the Western Pacific Railroad. A portion is now on the water and due at San Francisco in a few months. This signals the near start of the enterprise and future northern California development and rail competition with the south.

Irrigation Canal Progress and Indian School Plans

The National Irrigation canal project in Churchill County employs many settlers aiming to settle in the benefited area. The contractor Warren pays about 40 000 dollars monthly with 1 700 dollars daily payroll. Tunnel No 3 has 60 000 000 cubic yards excavated for approaches.
