Fifty-Eight Years Of Wedded Life In Oregon City Area
The Oregonian reports a celebrate couple Mr and Mrs Richardson living six miles west of Junction City with fifty eight years of marriage. They joined in 1844 when crossing the plains aboard a wagon train near Fort Laramie. Richardson born January 1 in Franklin County, Missouri. They settled near present Junction City and now reside on a Lancaster farm. They raised twelve children, eight living, with descendants across Washington and Oregon. A family reunion occurred July 4 at Independence Rock on the Sweetwater.
