Development Work Goes On At Bohemia
Bohemia, Oct. 15. Steady development work continues at the North Fairview mine under Herbert Leigh. Winter work will push in the main drift with many free milling areas blocked out. Crosscut progress at Twin Rocks mine promises to strike a fine ledge before Christmas showing eight feet of free milling ore on the surface. The present tunnel will reach the ledge at a depth of over 1 feet and is expected to yield good ore. Frank Vlosber has finished provisioning for winter and will return to his claims near Little Rock creek. The Oregon Securities mill is idle for a few days for repairs. Water is plentiful and the electric power plant is sound for fall rains. The Combination mine sawmill is being set up to cut timber for buildings, with a capacity of about 1 500 feet per day for mine use. Power will come from an overshot wheel, aiding steady water power. Le Roy Mining stockholders held their annual meeting October 4 at Cottage Grove, reelecting the former board: J. L. Le Roy, Dr L. W. Brown, OU. Tobey, W. A. Wann, KR. M Veatch, and Henry Veatch. The board then elected J fe Roy president and Henry catch secretary and treasurer.
