The Roach Masser Lumber Co of Muscatine Iowa buys about 9 000 acres east of Oakland and Wm Musser Lumber Co of Spokane acquires around 12 000 acres along Rock Creek tributary of the North Umpqua in Oregon. Purchases total near 400 000, with Rock Creek tract at 212.50 an acre. Two allied firms plan to begin mill operations and lay railroad spur to access holdings.
