Water board condemns Eugene water as impure
The state board of health condemns Eugene’s water as impure despite local pumps drawing from a deep gravel cistern and river filtration. Residents argue the Willamette above Eugene is glacier and rock fed with clear mountain streams and question how a pure source could be polluted while nearby towns lack sewerage. They urge factual proof rather than hearsay from a powerful agency.
