Classified Columns Management Of Rock Crusher Criticised

Cottage Grove Oregon January 11 1909 Editor Guard. Local readers applaud road work but fault county spending paying a man and team four dollars daily to haul water to the engine while a creek nearby could supply it. Two days wages could power the engine with a tank pump and the team could be used for rock hauling. The county clerk knows how long the crusher ran this summer. They should calculate waste of county funds. Likely two to three hundred dollars, a conservative estimate. This is either incompetence or graft in county management. JOHN OVERHOLSER.
