Frostproofing Peaches by December Whitewash Spray

State entomologist B W Douglass reports spraying peach trees with white wash in December at Maxwell Indiana delayed budding by 10 to 15 days. Sprayed trees blossomed later, escaped frost damage, and now show over 50 percent more fruit with good condition. Douglass sees value for Indiana peach growers.
