Paul Curnick son of Geo L and Sadie McWilliams was born December 1 1909 and died June 5 1911 aged one year five months four days. He baptized 1910 and joined the M E church at Eminbury. Funeral June 6 at 10 30 am at the English M E church. Interment Denbo cemetery. He leaves a father, mother and two brothers. the family speaks of faith and hope in the afterlife.

Audrey Neal and Ida Roberson of Riddle attended Jericho church Saturday night. Simon Wright and family plus Lula Wiseman went fishing at Carnes Mill on Wednesday. Elmer Merritees and family visited friends near Fairview Sunday. Mary Parr of Sulphur guest of Mayme Borsemberger last week. W C Wiseman and wife at Leavenworth Friday. The Hartford City Times-Gazette reports wool buyers are disappointed as growers delay sales. The May market opens slowly with little wool offered, despite ample fleece from last year and this year. Buyers urge farmers to sell before prices drop, noting fewer sheep in Blackford County but ready fleece remaining. Crawford circuit court met Monday and adjourned Wednesday afternoon to next week after minor cases.
In Leavenworth Prof W O Little and wife with a young daughter visit relatives in Northern Indiana. Several locals including Kingley Miller Harry Bunch and Harry Morgan rest from Rockport to spend time with family. Others travel or visit Louisville Evansville Alton and Black Rock during a summer break.

Mrs James Hanger was at Marengo trading last week. Nellie Shaw of Magnolia is staying with Mrs A G Stephenson this week. Mrs Chas Belcher was at Marengo Sunday evening. Nellie Shaw of Magnolia was the guest of Miss Lizzie Hilgert Sunday night. Rosa Kellams of Mt Sterling attended. Nellie Carver was at Marengo last week. Vernie Sarles was in this vicinity Sunday evening. James Hanger and family and George Dean and family were calling on Mrs Schrieber Sunday evening. There will be church at Dillman Sunday night. John Felker’s son born Monday weighs ten pounds. Dan Barringer attended his father’s funeral at Birdseye. Rolly Gilmore from Eckerty and others visited relatives near St Croix. Rev Stallings baptized four new church members near Foster's Ridge.
Joe Agan and Fd Stephenson of Marengo bought sheep and hogs in the area. Mrs Lelia Stephenson of Pilot Knob traveled to Leavenworth. Local youths attended an ice cream supper at Chas Hilgert’s. Zenit Dean and wife visited A H Tower family. John Huff Sr died at his daughter Cora Henry’s home aged eighty four after a long cancer illness. Burial followed at the UB church cemetery Monday at 3 p.m.
