High school district debate stirs Encampment votes

Child undergoes fourth appendicitis operation
Glenn Rhoades, 12, son of Mr and Mrs BE C Rhoades, fell ill Tuesday morning with appendicitis and underwent surgery Wednesday forenoon. This marked his fourth attack. The operation was performed by Dr H L Goff of Cheyenne and Dr W C Burke of Encampment.

Death of Charles A Hansen in Rawlins a notable citizen
Charles A Hansen died at a Rawlins sanitarium last Wednesday evening from a bowel hemorrhage due to typhoid fever. Born in Carbon county, he was a respected rancher on Pass Creek with Encampment property and a promoter of the Elkhorn mine. He was a 32nd degree Mason and Elk, and his Masonic and Elk lodge funeral drew a large crowd. He leaves a wife two children and extended family.
