Bad Horses Disqualify Riders at Carbon County Fair
The Carbon county fair at Saratoga drew large crowds across Monday to Wednesday with top performances in riding and shooting events. Winners included Harriett Lee in the half mile dash, Tilton's Torrent in the trotor pace, Cook's Dick in the saddle horse race, Don McPhail in the Rep race, and Taylor’s horse in green horse trot. Capt. Hardy thrilling spectators with improvised guns and shooting displays. The mule parade highlighted mule prowess and a strong broncho riding show closed the week.

Accidents at Saratoga Fair Leave Several Injured
Several incidents at the Carbon county fair near Saratoga last week left multiple riders injured. Earl Sutton dislocated a wrist after a saddle girth broke while roping. Donald McPhail Jr. was Hazing a broncho when it fell after stepping into a hole, leaving him unconscious. Martin Christiansen crashed a motorcycle into a car driven by Florence Middlewood, fracturing his left leg and he was hospitalized in Rawlins.

Lyceum Attractions Secured For Encampment Season
