Enlarged Homesteads Must Be Compact in Land Rules
The General Land Office ruled that enlarged homesteads must be reasonably compact to avoid acquiring land for isolation. Entrymen may be asked to justify a noncompact layout and may omit worthless subdivisions, but not shape land to sell isolated parcels. In Carbon County Journal context, this note follows a theatre listing for A Daughter of the Desert at Saratoga on March 8 with dance and supper.
