Lands Open for Entry in Encampment Valley This Month
State Land Commissioner Hopkins will restore lands to entry for several tracts in the Encampment valley between the Encampment and Platte rivers. Openings occur March 13 and March 14 with lots decided by lot if conflicts arise. Rev. R R Marquis leaves for Sheridan to lead Sunday school work March 1, with Encampment awaiting a replacement.

Portland Copper Consolidation Moves Ahead in West Virginia Wyoming

Encampment Real Estate Secures Grant Six Agency
Messrs. Tilton and Crout have secured the agency for the new Grant Six automobile for the valley and will soon receive one of the 1916 models for demonstration. The Grant Six is a new car proving successful in sales and service. The firm has contracted for five cars this season and expects to dispose of several more.

George Baker Recovering After Denver Operations
George Baker is recovering at home after surgery in a Denver hospital for fistula followed by appendicitis. Mrs. G. O. Baker reports both operations successful and Baker hopes to return home soon. Meanwhile, Platt, DN, Bird and Al. Larey visited Beaver Creek country. Larey and the other man received the Initiatory degree in Odd Fellowship. Plans for Portland Consolidated Copper and regional mining activity are discussed amid reports of awaiting work and ore shipments.

Odd Fellows Hold Interesting Meeting at Encampment Hall
Platte Valley Lodge No 34 I O C F held a pleasant meeting in Encampment hall. D N Bird and Al Laroy ranchers on Beaver Creek were conferred the initiatory degree. A luncheon and smoker followed. The first degree will be given next Saturday night and all Odd Fellows are urged to attend. Edwin Hayden, a Beaver Creek smoker, added his name to the subscription list, leaving $2.00 richer.

Surprise Party for Miss Pearl Bowers in Encampment
Friends held a surprise party for Miss Pearl Bowers at Miss Blanche Fields home last Friday evening about twenty girls attended and played games until 6:86 when Janeh was served. Pearl has many Encampment friends who regretted her departure and will welcome her home again. Mrs Suttles and Mrs Fichls assisted with entertainment and serving the guests.
Horton and Lodge Attendance Highlight Weekend Schedule
W M Horton aged eight and Beckwith Enterprises agent Parstown spent Saturday and Sunday in Encampment for the Win Stewart quest. He also attended the lodge here Saturday night.
