The Western Land & Irrigation project comprising about 17 000 acres near Encampment Wyoming was opened for homestead entries at 9 a m Monday The Carey act lands previously set aside were restored to entry though most of the French Creek project remained closed A detailed list of lands for entry accompanied the notice with many section and township references and a letter correcting earlier reports of December 6 1915.

Relic Printer’s Male Finds Danish Books at Schmidt Home
The Record man toured old relics of the printer’s art at P. H. Schmidt’s home. A 1577 Doctor Book printed in Danish in Copenhagen by Henrich Smid, rebound 1845, and a 1716 Danish Book of Sermons were among the treasures.

Forest Notes on 1915 National Forest Activity
More than 500 mineral claims were patented within the national forests during fiscal year 1915. Of 10,905 timber sales, 10,62] were under $100 each. Private lands within forest boundaries total about 21 million acres. By June 30, 1915, Weeks Law purchases reached 1,317,551 acres in the Appalachians and White Mountains for national forest administration. On July 1, 1915, forest service employed 3,875 people in various roles at forests and headquarters.
