Penn Wyoming and United Smelters Sale Set for September 21
The Penn Wyoming Copper company United Smelters Railway and Copper Company and affiliates will be sold September 21 in Cheyenne by special master Edward W. Stone to satisfy claims totaling 2 376 750 with interest. The bidding minimum is removed and any bid may be considered. The first mortgage bonds include Saratoga Encampment Railway Encampment Smelting and other holdings totaling 3 865 500 par value. The case stems from the failed Emerson development scheme involving the Ferris Haggarty mine and Encampment enterprises leading to a lengthy litigation saga.

The Record received a crate of extra quality cherries from Poterlachen Cherry Orchard in Fort Collins Colorado. Carl Anderson proprietor of the orchard and advertising manager of the Courier Printing Publishing company Fort Collins praises country publishers and thanks the Record for the gesture. Bids are advertised this week for connecting the city hall to the sewer and water system.
