Appraisers Tour Carbon Timber Properties in En Campment
Fred Richards of Medicine Bow Scotty McKay county commissioner Rawlins J J Cullen Rawlins and C D Williamson Hanna board of appraisers appointed by the court to appraise the Carbon Timber company bankrupt properties were in campment last week and inspected property at Hog Park and Big Creek. All company property will be sold to satisfy claims.

State surveyors arrive to map North Park reservoir site
R. Z. McCoy and a crew of state surveyors camped at Northgate as they survey the North Park reservoir site. The project will irrigate several thousand acres in the Encampment and Platte valleys. Mrs. McCoy accompanies her husband and visits Dr. J. W. Bingham's home with old friends in Encampment.

Lynx Scares Ladies at Little Ranch West of Town
Mrs L Stallings and Mrs Lillian Little nearly were attacked by a lynx after two intoxicated Mexican herders frightened them near the Little ranch west of town. Mrs Stallings sprained a foot, Mrs Little fell into nervous distress, while two girls helped with the escape. The party returned to town Monday claiming intent to shoot the varmints on sight.

Painful Operation Leaves Wallace Pierce Cured
Wallace Pierce underwent a painful operation early in the week to extract sixteen teeth and trim jaw bones to let remaining teeth close. The procedure, performed by Dr. J. W. Bingham with Dr. W. C. Burke assisting, was successful and Pierce expects to eat a square meal soon.

Pleasure Trip Ends At Cascades Visit
Dr M. 8 McGrew and wife with son Nathan and friend Stewart Brubaker of Holton Kansas visited Dr Me Grew’s cousin J A Reed and family last week. They later went to the Cascades eight miles up the South Fork and are encamped there. The Reed family and Mrs Carl Ashley joined for a Sunday horseback visit at the camp.

Archie Anderson and wife drove to Denver for a funeral in the Anderson family. Mrs HL E Vane to open the Wyoming rooming house for Fish Fry celebration and provide a ladies rest room in Wyoming. Hoflman and Jones from Rollin ranch report busy hay season and a fine crop. Chas Vevey from Beaver Creek ranch finishes haying and starts harvesting grain with 150 acres. Hoyee Boyd from Creston IA will settle in Encampment as a plasterer. John Milliken of Hanna visits Encampment campaigning for county commissioner. Lotis Anderson sold Hog Park ranch to a sheep company and is temporarily without a home. Louis donated two dollars to the Record. Encampment ball team hosts a city hall event Friday night August 25 to raise funds for visiting teams during Fish Fry. Mrs A McKay returned from Rawlins after her husband’s appendectomy. he hopes to return to work soon. G E Pool and family from Torrington visit old friends. Pool adds his name to the Records subscription list. William B Hoshaw visits and later meets his wife in Saratoga, then returns to Encampment. W G Cleveland and party arrive for a month of fishing, staying in the Mia Kine residence with the group.
