Big Runaway-Little Damage at Winchester

A lively runaway occurred in Winchester last Sunday as a mule team procession formed for a music gathering after Rev. Williams failed to arrive to preach. Joseph Fish tied his wagon, Charlie Parker hitched to the rear of Fish, and Burge attached to Parker, creating a noted but harmless spectacle as two mule teams led the line.

Abandoned woman Pearl jailed by county sheriff

Pearl, an abandoned woman, was brought to the county seat Friday by the Sheriff and jailed after a twelve day sentence handed down by Judge Waterbury of Wittona. Local citizens of Winonawatti advocate driving out disreputable people to protect homes and families, praising Judge Waterbury and supporters.
