Car Jumped Track After Stone Thrown On Road
Four miles north of Elyria on Lake avenue a C and S W car jumped the track after a stone was placed on the outer rail. Motorman Ervin Colley and Conductor Lary Wilford kept control as the car toppled and wrecked. Twelve or more passengers sustained injuries, with Mrs. Kate Price among the most seriously hurt. a wrecking crew was dispatched and repairs begun.

Collier Taken Columbus in Custody Amid Confession
The defaulting examiner George M. Collier arrived in Columbus Thursday night in custody of Sheriff Earb. He was met at the jail by his wife believed to be Hattie Hendricks, his sister, son Ray Ollier and son-in-law Frank Sailabary. Collier claimed no embezzlement but said reports of 2700 missing funds frightened him into fleeing to Cincinnati to consult a deputy.

George Adama, 18, faced Mayor Folger after riding a Lake Shore freight to reach his dying mother in Cleveland. Lacking funds and having just been released from the hospital, he was fined five dollars plus costs and ordered to work off the fine. The mayor also fined two other vagrants with similar remarks.

Fire damages barn on Railroad Street after noon
A small blaze damaged Mrs. Porazek's barn on Railroad Street west of the freight house. The fire caused about twenty two dollars in damage. The origin is unknown but sparks from a locomotive are suspected.
