Fire breaks through stove floor at old high school
A light blaze tore through the bottom of a stove in the remaining wing of the old high school on Thursday night. A three foot diameter hole burned in the floor, total damage about five dollars. Firemen arrived promptly and put out the fire with no difficulty.

Lorain Steel Plant to Shut Down Briefly
The Lorain steel plant will suspend all operating departments by next week due to weak orders.
