A circulating town report claimed Wm. Demating, an O and S W electric motorman, was killed boarding a Cleveland streetcar. It proved a case of mistaken identity. the deceased was someone else but bore a striking resemblance. Albert Olsen named administrator of Wim. Curtis estate with 1400 bond. Pholon will probated. wife named executor. Daisy receives no heretofore implied share.
Elyria nurse Frances Morehouse resigns as Elyria hospital manager to open a new hospital in Grafton. A building has been leased and fitted. service starts next week. Her departure is hoped to be a loss to Elyria yet praised for her competence and generosity.
The auditor reports Ohio public service corporations show gross receipts rising from 40,788,729 in 1901 to 47,186,490 in 1902 with the state set to gain 4,715,469. Street railways fall from 15,186,805 to 13,634,082 as various utility companies are listed.
An accident at the Mill Street crossing injures a valuable horse owned by W. V. Vogeler which is killed after the locomotive strikes it. Vogeler, driving a wagon, is thrown but unharmed except for minor injuries. The Stone train backed to the west yard after first passage, then returned and caused the fatal hit.
George Lyon, a well known Grand Army man, died suddenly at his brother Charles Lyon’s home on the River road two miles north of the city. He was about sixty five years old and died shortly after midnight after going to bed in his usual health.

A Lorain discovery links a thief to Al G Fields' private car thefts. Band detectives recovered part of the valuables in an empty box car in Lorain yards, including two wallets a belt a sword life membership certificate in the Elks a chain and a charm.
Miss Bardette M Fuller daughter of E Fuller proprietor of the Hotel Tautus and J Carl Hoot purchasing agent for the Lorain Steel Company were married in hotel apartments at 8 30 Saturday evening Rev J M Withycombe officiated Mise Clira Smith was bridesmaid T J Cherry presided as procmeman Palm and smilax arch and ring ceremony followed by a repast at the hotel dining room The couple will tour the east then reside in Elyria Out of town guests included Fremont relatives and Mr and Mrs Wag of Cleveland.
Donahue was fined ten dollars and costs and sentenced to fifteen days in jail for selling Macor to minors by Judge Webber on Monday.
News reports the death of Miss Jennie Roseborough a former Elyria teacher who married Eben Blydenburg a wealthy widower in Iowa. Authorities allege wife murder after Blydenburg’s first wife died mysteriously and he collected $7,000 in life insurance. Bodies exhumed for forensic tests as Blydenburg remains jailed.
