Boy Released From Custody After Reformatory Decision

Friday afternoon Fred Smith, held since being sent from Lorain, was released and ordered to Elyria reformatory. A probate judge, mayor, and county officials granted another chance as his mother sought his release, noting he refused to attend school and that she had little control over him.

Mr S H W Needs secretary and treasurer of the Ohio and Pennsylvania Goal Co is the Elks favored for grand exalted ruler with an July Cincinnati meeting planned. Ridgeville farmer Jamen Sage reports the elements increasingly threaten his stock. In a Thursday shower two cows were struck by lightning in the pasture, adding to nearly two years of similar incidents that have claimed two horses and three cattle.

Threatened Man Arrest Warrant Filed by Mother in Law

Elizabeth Meyers of Sheffield swore out a warrant for her son-in-law, George Borner, after her husband died recently. Meyers says Borner threatened to shoot her amid rising friction. The notice notes a threatened act and the resulting legal action.

Herrick Honors Wellington Homecoming Meeting

Myron T Herrick visited Wellington with a large crowd greeting him at the opera house. He arrived by auto and spoke to a packed audience about campaign issues and uniting Republicans while appealing to wavering Democrats. Senior Boys Entertained Girls in High School Event

The senior class and faculty held a Friday evening social in the GAB hall with sixty five attendees. Frank Allen gave the welcome and Migs Caroll Smith delivered the response. A seven-boy skit titled The Woman's Rights Movement in Elyria was performed. Refreshments followed and the event ended with a dance.

Reverend Henry M Tenney of the Second Congregational Church will travel to Jerusalem for the world convention of Sunday school teachers next spring at the church’s expense. Hungarian Reformed Church Trustees Incumber Lorain Land

Court records show the trustees of the Hungarian Reformed Church of Lorain gaining permission to encumber church land with a 6000 dollar mortgage to fund completing the church building. Attorney F Coleman represents the plaintiff. Wr. D Plant sues George Rhoades for 300 dollars on a promissory note dated June 3, 1903. GA Resek acts for the plaintiff.
