City plans to purchase half of Tuscarawas Street from Persons Lumber
Following a court decision split over an unfunded street plan, the city will likely buy the south twenty five feet of Tuscarawas Street from George Pergons of Persons Lumber and Coal Co. Died in Elyria from morphine overdose
William H. Boyd a sick commercial traveler from Dayton died in Elyria hospital after taking morphine to ease a two week nervous disorder and insomnia. He lodged at Hotel Andwur and sold goods to Carl Lersch for $5. A small morphine bottle was found in his valise and post mortem confirmed overdose as the cause. His death is ruled accidental.
