Miss Linda Eastman of the Cleveland Public Library was elected president of the Ohio Library Association at its annual meeting in Elyria. New officers include Blaqua Wilson Toledo first vice president Miss Alice Har rows Springfield second vice president H M Parker Elyria third vice president Miss Laura Smith Cincinnati secretary Miss Grace Prince Springfield treasurer Findlay chosen for next meeting place. The day featured a trip to Oberlin College where Eastman spoke on book buying for small libraries and N D O Hodges Cincinnati gave the closing address on English libraries.

Riley to Speak at Oberlin First Church

James Whitcomb Riley the Hoosier poet will lecture at Oberlin First Church on Tuesday evening October 13. Tickets 75 cents each. no season passes after October 22. Lecture starts at 7 o clock. Administrators and trustees named for several estates with bonds posted for mortgage cancellations and estate actions.

B and O System Earnings for July and August

The total earnings from operation of the entire B and C system for July and August were $12,800,899.08 an increase of $1,238,631.28. The net earnings were $4,004,879.3 an increase of $631,540.05. The fixed charges including interest rentals and taxes were approximately $2,000,000.

Oberlin Musical Society to Present The Messiah in Cleveland
