A district ruling classed cremated remains as merchandise paying one cent per four ounces. Four airtight tin canisters carrying a family’s ashes were sent from New York to San Francisco and held at the Washington post office pending postage determination. Lawrence Wissinger, a known South Lorain resident, was shot by J Marks, manager of Black Diamond Coal Co., at an early hour. Wissinger was wounded while allegedly taking coal from Marks' property. he remains in serious condition as reports of the event vary.
Three divorce cases ruled Tuesday by Judge Webber in common pleas court. Jennie Kiser wins divorce from Simon Wiser for extreme cruelty and gross neglect. she restores her maiden name Jennie Rengel. Mary Davie wins divorce from John Davie on similar grounds, gains custody of child and $1000 alimony. Lulu M Jayes vs Lewis H Jaycox dismissed at plaintiff's cost.
A new bill in the Senate, attributed to Mr On om, seeks a rural free delivery route not exceeding 25 miles. Carriers would receive 600 annually, up from the current $600. Representative Jones of Washington introduced a House bid offering carriers a subsistence allowance of $250 yearly.
A Philadelphia court dispute centers on whether a shirt waist worn by De Wolt Norman, a Quaker city social figure, permits him entry to a hotel dining room. Norman, wearing a new shirt waist and belt, was refused service and left after protests. his lawyer has begun action for damages against the hotel.

Christine Science lecturer Carol Norton spoke to a large audience at the Congregational church Tuesday night.

She says he married her on October 21, 19 2, and became abusive in February causing her to leave. The first wife reportedly lived with him after her departure. Attorney is Frank Coleman.

The Marina Savings Bank of Con vent Hag seeks foreclosure on household goods securing promissory notes of 34.31 to Henry N Dunne dated August 1908.
Kil ties band performs at Verbeck theatre Lomonio Sunday afternoon November 28. The program features instrumental music by the band and a novel appearance by the Kilties bagpipers and dancers with Scottish reels Highland dances sword dances and related numbers.
A team hitched to four garbage wagons escaped on North Street then crossed Lake Shore tracks and Broad Street before colliding with a lamp post near the park. The drivers stopped the wagon, refused damage to the team, and officers caught the culprits. only a few barrels remained aboard.
