John Broder of Kipton a passenger conductor for the LS and MS Railway was killed when the engine started while he crawled under a bad order car to adjust it. Broder about 45, born in Kipton, leaves a wife and two children. He recently was promoted to passenger conductor. The fatal accident occurred late Monday afternoon. a physician arrived too late. Death of Mrs Almina Pearee at 629 East River Street

Mrs Almina Pearee dies at sit o'clock in her 80s at 629 East River Street after long illness. Born in New York in 18th century she moved to Enton township and lived here most of her life. She leaves twenty one children, twenty one of whom survive. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 1 PM at the Baptist church conducted by Rev Early.
