Divorce Granted to Mrs. F. C. Jones in Elyria
Florence P. Jones was granted a divorce from Fred C. Jones Saturday by Judge Washburn on grounds of gross neglect of duty. Officals Whitnsy and Smith will testify in the Upper Sandusky murder case of Frank Hyals, charged with killing his wife whose body was found in a schoolhouse. Hyals, a traveling peddler, fled after the crime, was arrested in August, and is accused of decapitation in the victim’s room. Frances Jones, daughter of the couple, is in her mother’s care. Charles Travis and Carrie Lewis wed in the Elvira hospital district yesterday.

Wagon Hit By Street Car Leaves Rider Wounded
Frank Wellert of Twelfth street is hospitalized with severe injuries after his wagon was struck by a C and S W streetcar near the town line on Cleveland street. One horse died, another injured, and Wellert pinned in the fender. He is about 52, employed by William South, a contractor on Middle avenue. The accident happened Saturday night as Wellert, driving east along the street, entered the traction track right of way unaware the car was on the track. The car’s fenders damaged the wagon and horses. Wellert was removed to Elyris hospital for treatment and monitoring at company expense. The incident sparked discussion of accountability and the safety of streetcar operations in the area.
