An Elyria man Bi Webster faced a mayor’s court on a warrant charging intoxication and cruel treatment of his wife. He pled guilty to intoxication, denied cruelty, and the hearing paused for witnesses, as his attorney was away. Evidence cited a toy pistol claim, a stove incident, and a water burn, with Webster fined $56 and 60 days in the Cleveland work house.
The board of public service discussed council funding to maintain city utilities.
