The Worth Manufacturing Company of Cleveland plans a December 1 move to Elyria at 176 and 178 St Clair Street in the Ely Power block. They seek 5000 square feet on the second floor and will employ over one hundred workers, mostly girls, with production of the Worth child’s skeleton whistle and underskirts and other novelties. President and Hon George H Ely have been negotiating. the firm arrives without a bonus. Prof Jones of Oberlin will speak on animals at 7:30 pm in the high school, with a collection to cover expenses, supporting local Nature Study clubs.

Robbery in Grafton Tallying Eleven Dollars Missing
In daylight Friday a theft occurred at Hancock Taji grist mill in Grafton. Twenty dollars were taken from a money drawer. Bert Rogers was arrested in Elyria on suspicion and will face theft charges. Chamberlain found kernels and a song book in the office pointing to Rogers. Rogers returned to county seat. Chamberlain and Deputy Sheriff Sillsbury later arrested him.

Hair Raising Crossing Incident At Lake Shore Tracks
Two young men narrowly escaped tragedy at the Mill Street crossing when a Lake Shore Limited train approached on the south track as gates failed. They stepped onto the tracks ignoring the freight engine on the north track and were forced back by the speeding locomotive. Escape on the C. B. & W. Ry as cows block bridge near Pittsfield

Lowrey Escapes From Ohio Train Guard

Barnes Case Hinges On Child Custody Decision
Amelia Barnes of Lorain sued Dennis and Harriet Barnes over possession of her child after a recent divorce. The case, before Judge Hinman, was postponed from last week.
