Elyria Loses Garford Saddle Factory to Chicago
The Garford Saddle factory of the Federal Mfg Co will be dismantled and moved to Chicago after a sale of all machinery and materials. About thirty carloads of material will be moved as hundreds of workers relocate. The move stems from rising auto parts demand and expansion at the Milwaukee Smith Stamping plant. Local workers face displacement as one of Elyria’s largest industries shuts its doors.

Eye Injured by Sewing Screwdriver in Ridgeville
Edwin Gessner six-year-old son of Mr and Mrs Geo Gessner of Ridgeville damaged his left eye using a sewing machine screwdriver Sunday afternoon. Doctor Patricks of fine reported only a one in a thousand chance to save the eye. The incident drew sympathy from friends and relatives. The Cleveland and Sandusky Brawing Company sues Nick Dobas for 2248 28 with interest from May 12 1904. Higley Maurer and Q A Gill are attorneys.

Explosion at Findlay torpedo factory kills eleven
State inspector John Bath investigated a Sunday blast at a torpedo factory in Findlay. Eleven people died and fifteen were injured as the plant ran overtime to meet Fourth of July demand. A faint warning preceded the disaster and witnesses described a fierce, rapid collapse.

Sick Man Taken to Hospital After Seated Fracture
