Lorain County Humane Society prosecutes neglect cases
The Lorain County Humane Society reports seven arrests in three weeks for neglect of children with six receiving workhouse sentences after guilty pleas. Five warrants were issued by Mayor Folger last Saturday in similar cases. Four men detained for deserting families are being sought, plus two cruelty-to-horse cases under consideration. Rodney Rosa, accused of neglecting a wife and four children, including an eighteen month old, involved in the disposition.

Fifteen Year Old Stollert Injures Leg in Self Destruction Attempt
Annep Stollert, a German family girl of fifteen living at 69 Walnut Street, attempted suicide Saturday after a kitchen worker accused her of stealing an apron. She fired three shots from a revolver, two misfired, the third grazed her left leg, causing a painful flesh wound. She is expected to recover.
