The Citizens bank in Lorain shuts doors after defalcations by three officers suspected since a February to March period. Cashier E. F Kaneen, Assistant Cashier H. B. Walker, and Teller D. F. Beor are named as involved. The bank’s capital 60 000 and surplus 13 000. assets around 570 949. city funds and school deposits in jeopardy. Local officials, Cleveland lenders, and the community await Friday statements and formal notice.

Hand Amputated After Mill Accident At National Tube

Edward Sherman, an employee at the National Tube mill, suffered a severe accident when his right hand was crushed in hot rollers. The hand was amputated at the wrist after initial treatment at the mill infirmary and Drs. Wheatley and Robison. Sherman also sustained serious burns to the arm from the rollers.

Police Court Clears Three Vagrants as One Fined in Street Row

In a morning session Judge Hinman presided as three vagrants appeared before the court. Two were discharged while one received the usual fine and a pub in the street rang. A bicycle rider was fined for riding on the sidewalk. The judge departs tomorrow for Green Springs for a brief rest due to rheumatism and related issues. treatment should aid his health.
