Poor Grape Crop Marks Lorain Growers Election

The Lorain Connie Grape Growers Shipping Association held its annual election on Wednesday afternoon at Folge. John Titus was named president, Charles Beard vice president, and William Peake treasurer for the coming year. General manager selection will occur in August. Fewer carloads were shipped this season, about fifty, far below the usual 260. The light crop led to grape rotting and much of the yield being sold for wine.

Mansfield and Wellington Electric Line Construction Under Way

Active construction on the Mansfield Savannah and Wellington electric line aims to have cars running from Wellington to Ashland by November 1.
