A report claims Hartford Machine Screw and associated plant interests in Hartford and Elyria were sold to Standard Scrow of Detroit Michigan. The Elyria works operated since 1874 as Western Automatic Machines and Screw Company with capital stock around 800000, controlled by Hartford Machine Screw. The joint company employs forty five people and will continue operations though purchase price was not disclosed.
