City solicitor acknowledged the reporters contention on outside engineers for sewer plans. Council reversed earlier view and decided to have City Engineer Las prepare the plans, with approval by an expert engineer clause. The move ends the dispute and work toward a sewer system will commence soon.
The committee investigating the East Bridge street track location told the Tuesday meeting the street railway should not cross the bridge due to narrowness. The arrangement was temporary, with plans for the railway to build its own bridge across the east branch when needed.
Lake Breeze items report Mr and Mrs E Coustable visiting relatives and neighbors in Lorain and Bartley Fox remodeling his Gawn road home. JC Kortz travels to New York on business while Harry Korty plans a spring automobile purchase. Julia Rothgery and Myra Seymour attend Septem club dance. Miss Terssa Fox visits Cleveland relatives. Harry Korta serves as secretary at J G Kortz office in Cleveland.
A newborn girl, born about two weeks ago at the infirmary, has a mother unable to care for her. Authorities seek a suitable home and urge interested parties to contact the infirmary director for details.

Mr and Mrs Wells of Rochester visit Shelseys Snt. Byron Hileman of Sullivan and Mr Winter Close of New London in town on business. L Rogers of Elyria seeks a farm rental in town Saturday. Mr and Mrs Carl Rogers of Huntington guests at John Fritz Thursday. Ralph Dimock of Crabard Lake, Michigan, guest at 9 Kolser's Thursday. Lunches served 4:30 am to 2 am at the City Restaurant.
A well known attorney in Kiyria was approached by a young couple seeking a marriage license. The lawyer explained he could not issue licenses but referred them to Justice Lord. Judge Hinman was telephoned, the license was issued, and the couple were married.
The Lorain school board sues James Walker in common pleas court claiming possession of Lot 46 in Daniels and Braun addition, seeks $250 past due rent since August 17, 1901, and asserts the lot fronts the Bond Street schoolhouse. City Solicitor W. L. Hughes and Thompson & Glitsch represent the board, which purchased the lot from T. Daniels. an error in the deed transposed two lots, giving Walker the one next to the schoolhouse.
The case came to trial before Judge Kuhier with a jury. Mia Dimnock sues the Insurance Co for fire damage to her dwelling. The company defends by claiming the fire was not accidental. The Wellington case drew many influential local men who were subpoenaed for the plaintiff.
Members of the city council, minus Mr Slimmers, met Tuesday with J C Smith urging immediate access to the Columbia Steel plant. The street committee was asked to review sidewalks on Plain Street and a complaint on Fourteenth Street. East Bridge and East River paving were deferred while undercut plans are considered. An assessment to fund East Broad Street work was adopted, along with $3000 in bonds. Sidewalks on East River and Adams Street, and a revised street light payment rate, were approved. Police department reorganization advanced to third reading. The council adjourned.
C Hauenstein announces relocation of his barber shop to the Nicholls block under Eldred's bookstore with C L Myers and invites old friends and patrons to call. He notes travelers can get lunches at City Restaurant until he arrives.
Burglars broke into the Barrat house on Cheapside Tuesday night, stealing five and seven dollars. A pane of glass in a door was removed to gain entry and unlock the door to the barroom. Police have no identification of the thieves at this time.
Officer Dumas chased Bart Brown a negro after he fled a saloon floor scrubbing job on East Broad Street. Brown disappeared through a back door then was caught behind the opera house with help from Culbertson. Brown pleaded not guilty before Mayor Folger and awaits a hearing.
The Ridgeville township Sunday school union holds its annual meeting in Fields on March 26 with sessions at the Disciple and ME churches. Notables report illnesses and hospital plans, with a funeral for Mrs Mueller and various social visits and events listed.

A four year old girl, daughter of Mia Marg Thompson of Oberlim, died from burn injuries received when she opened a stove door and a kettle spilled hot contents onto her apron. Neighbors aided, but she died on Sunday evening.
