Collision leads to arrests after street fight
A Saturday night collision on Broad Street triggered a fight. Three men were arrested and fined. Charles Leitzburger and George Deible, workers from a steel plant, collided with George McIntyre. The Elyria section of Garford Manufacturing occupies new quarters on East Side at Clark and Winkles streets. Building spans 400 by 44 feet with two one story wings, four stories high, of reinforced concrete. Offices on the west end, light and airy, include passenger and freight elevators and power from three thousand electric engines. Cleveland plant to move later this summer. full Garford operation to employ 1,000 to 1,500 workers.
